Edits from my afternoon at the laundromat. Life is good.
Now they show you how detergents take out bloodstains, a pretty violent image there. I think if you've got a T-shirt with a bloodstain all over it, maybe laundry isn't your biggest problem.Maybe you should get rid of the body before you do the wash.

LAUNDROMAT
My dryer broke so after washing my clothes I ended up in the laundromat. I don't think I've been to a laundromat in about thirty years. So you put your stuff in the dryer, add a few quarters and stand around for the next 45 minutes. I noticed the place was totally empty so I thought I'd do an iphone essay on the scene as it unfolded in front of me...pun.
I took my courage in both hands and went to the Laundromat to do my washing. I had to use three machines.

Ah, life at the laundromat....what could be better?

NIXI GOES TO NEW YORK
This is a commercial shoot of sorts, the grass and bed on the left hand side of the image is the product.
The "Porch Potty" is a product manufactured to allow your dog to relieve him or herself without your help.(mostly for people without yards or indoor dogs that gotta go when your away) We wanted to show the product in an environmental setting that communicates urban living while not being an eyesore. Sort of a Pottery Barn look. In this image, the cityscape, apples and fire hydrant were also added in in post production. I added a before and after to show the original and the final image. I really think this is a great idea if your a city/condo/work all day no one at home to let the dog out type of person. Check out the website at, www.porchpotty.com

LONG BEACH...WHO KNEW?
I shot a wedding on the Queen Mary in Long Beach California and to my surprise, the down town area looked kinda nice! I admit I had a picture in my head of an ugly old run down port city that was dirty and had the stench of crude oil in the air, a place I try to avoid at all cost. At least from the deck of the Queen Mary it didn't look so bad. Sorry Long Beach, my bad.
A few from the wedding on the Queen Mary.

PULL UP A CHAIR
Comfort rules. You want to be able to sit in a good chair comfortably for a few hours and be able to talk and enjoy a glass of wine. There's nothing worse than sitting in an uncomfortable chair.

GIMME SHELTER
Oh, a storm is threat'ning
My very life today
If I don't get some shelter
Oh yeah, I'm gonna fade away

WHERE HAVE I BEEN?
If there is one thing I have great patience for it's sitting and watching ocean waves. There's nothing like spending the day at the beach and taking pictures as the day unfolds before you.
A mountain is composed of tiny grains of earth. The ocean is made up of tiny drops of water. Even so, life is but an endless series of little details, actions, speeches, and thoughts. And the consequences whether good or bad of even the least of them are far-reaching.
